  • Encouraging results received from Galilee Energy’s coal seam gas drilling programme at Rodney Creek 8.

2007 Highlights

  • In March 2007 Eastern was awarded the contract for coal supply to Fonterra’s Clandeboye plant on New Zealand’s South Island.
  • In July 2007 Eastern recommenced exploration at the Galilee coal seam methane prospect in Central Queensland. Eastern now holds 67% of Galilee Energy Limited.
  • Eastern also announced in July 2007 it had secured a debt funding facility in New Zealand to progress the next stages of project development in the South Island.
