Richard May

Richard May
Chairman

Appointed, Non-Executive Director on August 22, 2006.

Appointed Chairman on October 4, 2008.

Mr May had 27 years experience as a partner with KPMG until his retirement on 30th June 2006. Mr May served as a partner with KPMG both in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Mr May held senior positions within KPMG including a period as National Chairman of the Middle Market Advisory practice and was Partner in Charge of the Brisbane Middle Market Advisory practice for a period of 20 years. Mr May has extensive experience in accounting, taxation, auditing and business advisory matters having provided services to a diverse client base including medium sized and international corporations.

In the community Mr May still serves as a Board Member of the Brisbane Lions Foundation and served lengthy periods as Director of Lifeline Community Care and Indooroopilly Golf Club.


Campbell Smith

Mr Campbell Smith
Managing Director

Appointed Managing Director on July 23, 2007.

As Operations Manager for Brookfield Equipment Company, Mr Smith has been involved in a number of major mining projects such as the Ivanhoe Copper Company's mine in Myanmar and the Ernest Henry mine in north Queensland. He was the General Manager of Eastern Coal Holdings (NZ) Limited, overseeing the Eastern group's coal operations and coal exploration activities in New Zealand, before his appointment to the position of Managing Director in July 2007.


john mcintyre

John McIntyre
Non-Executive Director

Appointed Non-Executive Director on July 7, 2004.

Mr McIntyre is a professional mining engineer with both open pit and underground management experience and expertise in the feasibility, evaluation and development of mining projects. Managing director of the Australian subsidiary of US mineral industry consultant, Behre Dolbear, Mr McIntyre has previously held senior positions at the Goonyella and Curragh mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin.


steve koroknay

Steve Koroknay
Non-Executive Director

Appointed Non-Executive Director on December 19, 2008.

Mr Koroknay has more than 30 years' experience in the international oil and gas industry, initially with Esso, where he became Technical Manager of their upstream activities in Australia, and later with Bridge Oil Limited where he rose to Executive Director – Resources. Mr Koroknay founded Anzon Energy and Anzon Australia, companies engaged in oil and gas development and production.

Mr. Koroknay was a non-Executive Director and Chairman of CIM Resources, a coal mining company in the Gloucester Basin, NSW. He also consulted to Transfield in respect of their coal seam gas assets in Queensland.

Prominent in business, industry and professional organisations, Mr Koroknay is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Institution of Engineers Australia. He is a former councillor of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association and a former chairman of the Advisory Board for the School of Petroleum Engineering at the University of New South Wales. Mr Koroknay is also a non executive director of Innamincka Petroleum Limited, Cue Energy Resources and Metgasco Limited.
